RYA Safety Boat
This two day RYA Safety Boat course is a pre-requisite for the RYA Senior Instructor course and is useful for anybody wanting to assist as safety or rescue cover at their local sailing club. Over the course of the weekend you will learn how to safely rescue and recover a variety of water craft as well as how to set up and manage tows.

Preparation, boat handling, dinghy rescue, windsurfer rescue, kayak or canoe rescue, towing, end of day procedures, safety, suitability of craft, local factors, communication, rescuing other water users. Course will run from 9.00am – 4.30pm approx. on both days.
- RYA Powerboat Level 2 Certification
- You must be over 16 to attend this course
LOAI supplies a range of technical equipment including wetsuits and buoyancy aids. However you are welcome to use your own.
Please bring with you:
- Suitable footwear (that will get wet)
- Warm clothes, hats and gloves (it can get cold when out on the water)
- Wetsuit if you have your own (you will get wet on this course)
- Sunscreen and sunglasses
- Packed lunch
- Any medication you require
