Outdoor Activity Adventure Club for 8-14 year olds
Spend the holidays exploring the water and woodland with canoe trips and nature walks around the Rivington & Adlington area. Discover your adventurous side with exciting activities like Raft Building, Archery and Abseiling on site at the Anderton Centre.
Kids will have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities suitable for their age and ability. Children can take part in activities such as Bug Hunts, Low ropes or Wild Den Building. This will focus on the environment and exploring nature but whilst having fun, as well as introducing activities such as Archery, Canoeing and Tree Climbing, designed to encourage group working, fun and resilience.
Here at the Anderton Centre we are passionate about the outdoors and its benefit to young people. As a Charity we aim to introduce young people of all backgrounds to outdoor activities in a safe, exciting environment. We are located off the M61, we are ideally placed for families living or working in Bolton, Chorley, Preston, Wigan and Blackburn.

- Late Pick Up supervision 4:30 pm – 5:30pm includes afternoon snack

Is there a minimum age to take part in the adventure club?
The minimum age for Adventure Club is 8 years old.
Is there ID required to pick up a child?
If it’s a different person picking up the child, we will have to be verbally informed by the person dropping them off.
ID will be required to match the mane given with verbal agreement made when the child is dropped off.
If this is not possible they will need a password to pick up the child and will be confirmed by calling the contact number we have.

What activities will my child take part in?
We will run a range of outdoor activities to suit the group and weather on each day. This may include high ropes activities like tree climb or crate stack. Water activities such as canoeing or raft building, a walk up to Rivington Pike or bushcraft days. We aim to vary programs throughout the week however we can not guarantee a particular activity on any day.
What’s the refund policy?
Cancellations may be made up to 2 weeks prior the the activity day. No refunds will be made after this date.
Bookings are transferable with a completed medical consent form.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No. We will have your booking details on file.
What should my child bring on the day?
