In such a beautiful setting on the shores of Lower Rivington reservoir, our woodland site with views of Lever Park and the mighty Rivington Pike, you can’t help but smile, relax and have fun. Add too this our experienced fully qualified instructors with bags of personality who clearly love what they do, and you have the ingredients for a brilliant day out – without the need to drive all the way to the Lakes.
The majority of our customers are school groups, youth groups and corporate away days, but we are keen to help as many people as possible to experience the joy of the great outdoors, so here are ways to take part.
Tired of the same old indoor parties? Sick of brightly coloured plastic interiors and windowless, airless warehouses? Give your child a birthday to remember and get them outdoors making fires, climbing trees, balancing on the low ropes, learning to use real bows and arrows, canoeing and raft-building. Our parties are suitable from age six and over, with a minimum group size of eight and cost £20 per head. Click here for more
Private group bookings
Families and groups of friends are very welcome to book a half day (2.5 hours) or full day (2 x 2.5 hours) of activities, led by a fully qualified instructor and includes hire of all equipment and kit – just turn up with a spare change of warm, dry clothes and your water bottles. In a typical 2.5 hour session you can do two land-based activities, or one water-based activity. Prices below are per group of 8-12 (depending on the ratios of the activities you choose).
Full day session: £339.60 (includes VAT)
Half day session (peak times – April-October): £228.00 (includes VAT)
Half day session (off-peak November-March): £178.80 (includes VAT)
We may hold volunteering events (grounds clearance/garden tidy-up/path maintenance) where people who give up their time to help our charity-run centre, will be rewarded with lunch or a BBQ, or free canoeing session or low ropes course at the end of the day.
The best way to be alerted when they’re happening is to follow up on Facebook and/or Twitter as we’ll announce the volunteering days there first.
