Outdoor Activities

The Anderton Centre is a residential activity centre, situated on the shores of the beautiful Rivington Reservoir in Lancashire. We offer both day activities and residential courses and have experience in catering for a wide range of groups with their differing requirements.

Our location boasts superb water facilities and a rural setting which is ideal for the wide range of land and water based activities on offer. The centre is licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) and all of our activities are supervised by fully qualified and experienced instructors.

Water based Outdoor Activities at the Anderton Centre

The Anderton Centre has exclusive use of Lower Rivington Reservoir and has a purpose built boathouse at the water's edge

We are a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) recognised teaching establishment and all our activities have all the required safety equipment and tuition provided as part of the course cost, which also includes the use of our excellent changing facilities, complete with hot showers

Land based Outdoor Activities at the Anderton Centre

The Anderton Centre is located in a beautiful rural location ideal for a wide range of fun and challenging activities.

Within our own grounds we have an Archery range, Abseil tower, Mountain Bike Course, Low Ropes Course and many smaller stand alone activity elements including a Jacobs Ladder, Crate Stacking and some Tree Climbs with artificial holds.

Residential Accommodation

The Anderton Centre has an accommodation wing on two floors. We are able to offer accommodation on both a fully catered, half board or self catering basis.
