Water-based outdoor activities
An accredited RYA training centre, our charity-run outdoor learning centre has exclusive use of Lower Rivington reservoir for sailing, kayaking, canoeing and raft-building. At approximately 2km long, it’s the largest body of water for sailing and leisure in Lancashire; within an hour’s journey from Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside.
There’s lots of fun and outdoor adventurous activity here with the magnificent view of Rivington Pike and Lever Park. Click here for the full list of water-based activities.
Land-based outdoor activities
Outdoor adventurous activities in stunning woodland for junior nature detectives and adrenalin-seekers alike! Archery, campfires, den-building, orienteering and bush craft are ideal for little ones with curriculum links for boosting learning outside the classroom.
Abseiling, low ropes, mountain biking, problem-solving and crate stack (think ‘human Jenga’!) are great ice-breakers and team-building challenges ideal for INSETs and team-building away days in the North West. Click here for the full list of activities.
